Head Veterinary Assistant/Inventory Manager
Whitney graduated from Colorado State University in 2010 with a double major in Equine Science and Business Marketing. While at CSU, Whitney took the colt training class in conjunction with the Legends of Ranching sale, and worked at a Gypsy Cob breeding farm in Wellington. The job that influenced Whitney the most was working at Hillcrest Farm, an equine rehabilitation facility East of Fort Collins. It was at Hillcrest Farm that she developed a passion for equine orthopedics and rehabilitation.
In the fall of 2014, Whitney began working with the Equine Sports Medicine Service at Colorado State University, where she first met Dr. Marshall-Gibson, and gained extensive knowledge of equine lameness and sports medicine ailments as well as rehabilitation methods for equine athletes.
Whitney grew up in Georgia, a little north of Atlanta, and started her journey with Tennessee Walking horses owned by a family friend. When she was fifteen, she bought her first horse, a Quarab named Pretty Girl, and dabbled in many disciplines; from barrel racing to low level combined training/eventing.
In addition to Whitney’s knowledge of horses and her foundation in equine sports medicine, she is also an accomplished baker and has a degree from the Art Institute of Atlanta in baking and pastry making.
Whitney is currently pursuing her Certified Veterinary Technician Degree (CVT) at Penn Foster College in order to provide future technician appointments, including shockwave, radiography (x-rays), and class 4 laser therapy treatments to Front Range Equine Performance Patients!
